'City of the Future' competition
National Winner
Teams had seven days to prepare designs, three hours to construct models, and 15 minutes to present a plan for the city 100 years in the future.
The EDAW team offered an ecological vision of the nation's first restorative city: by treating stormwater at the surface, centering density on ridgeline transportation routes, and reintegrating natural wetlands into the urban grid, Atlanta of 2108 becomes the "City in the Forest."
The EDAW team's entry has been announced as the winner of the national competition.
