The City of Orange is in the middle of an exciting process that will examine how
we will help shape Orange's growth and change over the next 10 to 20 years.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
The City Council will be meeting to discuss the updated General Plan and its Environmental Impact Report (EIR). These meetings are expected to lead towards adoption of the General Plan and certification of the EIR. The meetings are scheduled as follows:
- January 26, 2010 – 7 p.m.
- February 9, 2010 – 7 p.m.

ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT REPORT
An Environmental Impact
Report (EIR) has been prepared for the Comprehensive General Plan Update in accordance
with the California Environmental Quality Act. The public review period for the
Draft EIR started on February 13, 2009 and ended on March 30, 2009.
Responses to comments on the Draft EIR are provided within the Final EIR, which
is available at the following locations:
- Orange Public Library & Local History Center (Main Library) (407 E. Chapman Avenue,

GENERAL PLAN
Through a series of workshops
with the public, the City has developed a recommended land use plan and a recommended
set of updated goals and policies. The City has released the public review draft
of the updated General Plan (January 2009).
