"In all things, make this
community dedicated to life"

OUR GOALS

Elimininate the systematic physical and social barriers that isolate our central city neighborhoods
Welcome role models to live among us and our children
Rediscover the joys of community life on safe and vibrant streets
Heal our environment so that it may heal us
Create a destination that allows people to live, work, and play
Claim our place as the geographic and emotional heart of the city of Miami
Create a model for social awareness and community building
Revolutionize health care to include environmental and social healing

Summer Student Program Class of 2002

OUR VISION
"2020. You won’t believe this, but the Miami River is visited by more people each year than South Beach and Key West combined" (Chris)
"You won’t believe this, but the Medical Campus is now a green gateway linking neighborhoods with transit lines and trails" (Carrie)
We want to weave social, natural and economic elements into a new vibrant "Life Center". We want the people to come here not just for work, but to live their lives, to learn, to heal their wounds and to play with their children. This place needs a new heart that beats life.
